It makes nursing at night easier and baby sleeping in a bassinet in your room reduces the chance of SIDS. We even take it with us when we travel home to visit family and it folds down and fits easily in our small car for travel. We have two cats and I was worried about the cats wanting to cuddle with the baby. Especially our larger cat who is very cuddly and loving. I didn’t want him to snuggle up with the baby. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 is that you need to buy a separate mattress because the one that comes with it is really bad. For the price, I didn’t mind at all getting a new mattress to go in it. We got a really nice $20 mattress to go in it and it has worked perfectly. As long as you’re going in with the expectation of buying a mattress additionally you will not be disappointed with this product.

What is the length of the mattress? Want to make sure my baby isn’t going to be too tall

I already got rid of mine but know that my baby was starting to get too big for it at by 2 months, maybe earlier. She was about 22 inches long at that point. I was confused by the bassinet too, I thought I read online it was good up until 35 pounds but when it came into it stated it was only good up until 10 pounds.
