Well, the answer is pretty simple, you will need some right tools and inexpensive material to set up your own customized soccer goal.

- 1″ Sch. 40 PVC Pipe (5′ length)
- 1″ Sch. 40 PVC Elbow

- PVC Primer and Cement
- Tape Measure
- Hacksaw
- Marker

4 Easy Steps to Make Soccer Goal
Cut The Pipes
The first and foremost important step to build a soccer goal is to make a solid frame. Since we are making a PVC based frame so we will cut the PVC pipes using the measuring tape, according to the goal size we want. Then mark the points to cut the pipes. You can use PVC cutter or any saw to cut the pipes to cut pieces.
Cut 12 pieces;
- Two 5′ lengths
- Two 4′ lengths
- Four 3′ lengths
- Four 1′ lengths.
Fix the frame
After cutting the lengths now you need to connect them together without cement or primer, just to make sure the lengths are of perfect sizes.
Now, start building the base of the frame by attaching elbows to 3’ sections on each end of the pipes. Place the elbows in a position that one should be point upward and the other 2 will be facing inside the goal.
Insert a 1’ section inside the horizontal elbows and attach tee to these pieces, Now connect 2 tees with 3’ piece. After fixing this, the bottom will be completed.
Let’s move towards the vertical stand, insert 4’ pieces in upward-pointing elbows which are at the front. Now add another set of elbows on the top end of both pipes.
Put 5’ pipe into the tees at the backside and insert 2 tees at the side of these pieces and attach them to the below of 4’ PVC pipe with a 1’ pipe. Finally, connect the tees at top with last 3’ piece. With this, the top part will be completed.
At the end, connect the top part to the bottom structure with two 5’ PVC pipes.
3.Solidify the frame with Cement or PVC Primer
Once you ensure the right size of the goal, apply cement or PVC primer to the edges and joints. It can be quite time consuming since cement or primer will take time to completely dry up. It is an important step to make sure that your goal will stay study during tough play. You can also avoid this step if you don’t want to get your goal fixed permanently.
Mark the joints with a marker before separating the pieces. It will help you to align back the structure without any mistakes. The PVC cement dries up in seconds so be quick to put the pieces in a right direction.
Start applying PVC cement on the ends of the pipes one by one. Then apply cement on the inside of the fixing. Make sure to apply an inch deep PVC cement to ensure solid adhesion.
Now, just put the pipes together in their place and in right direction. I would recommend you to hold the pipe for 10 minutes so it won’t tilt, continue this till the last piece is connected.
Cut & Attach Deer Netting
Take out your netting roll and measure the length required to cover the back and sides of the goal. Now, cut the length with scissors and leave extra net to wrap the goal frame.
Use zip ties to attach the deer net and cut off the extra length after tightening the zip ties,
Start attaching the net from the bottom of the soccer goal because it is the longest distance to cover and then pull it upward to zip tie at top and cover all other parts.
After completing this step, your soccer goal will be all set to get in your yard and being played with.
