It took four tries before we found a location where this gate would work. Once that was done though, it’s a pretty decent gate. Sturdy, the 4-year-old is able to open it but it keeps the 2-year-old and dog where they need to be. I will say that the swinging section is a little annoying if you’re a larger person, you may have to step through sideways.

Out of the box, it appears to be “warped” as others have referred it – but it is actually designed that way on purpose…so that you can tighten it and create the proper amount of tension. I had it assembled and working in less than 10 minutes. It is durable, strong, and fits my door opening perfectly. I have two five-month-old golden retrievers who destroyed the two wooden gates we had before I found this one. They can’t chew through this gate nor are they able to knock it down through brut force! I am 100% satisfied.

 Customer’s Review from Amazon: I needed an extra-long gate for the opening in my living room. This was perfect and long enough. The only complaint I have is the knobs you tighten to keep it the line the shape you want it, it still moves back and forth even though the knob as tight as it can go. I’m not sure if it’s a possible user error on my part but my gate is completely straight and screwed Into the wall and it still moves back and forth.  Customer’s Review from Amazon: Purchased to use in my house to train a new puppy. Was so happy I found it on Amazon. Came 2 days later, and worked perfectly to block the hallway. Easy to assemble, though we had to go out and get drywall anchors (our issue). No bottom railing, so easy to sweep and mop the floor in that area, and can remove the gate part in seconds. The only issue is that the way the catch works, you are limited to which direction you want to have the gate swing. Still, after 3 kids and 3 dogs, this was the best gate hands down.
